School of International Education has over a long time provided various Chinese Language Learning Courses for foreigners who come to Wuxi. From the previous Chinese Language Training Centre to the present School of International Education , we have provided distinctive Chinese Language training for many individuals and world-known multi-national corporations. Our practical, original and efficient training method and excellent service have received favourable comments.

We possess rich teaching resources who have undergone a strict selection and training process and have obtained the “Certificate of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language” issued by Government Chinese Language Office. Our teachers have many years of experience and students have welcomed their carefulness, earnestness and good qualities.

We can provide foreign enterprises' staff with small-class courses (Chinese Language Crash Course, Chinese Language Improving Course, Wives Course) and also One-to-One Course with a flexible time schedule according to learners' spare time. The teaching venue can be decided by foreign enterprises or can take place in our school. Our school has first-class studying conditions with convenient transportation and an environment that is conductive for learning.

1. Requirements

Employees (or their families) from foreign enterprises in Wuxi , who are healthy and interested in Chinese Language and culture can apply to School of International Education.

2. Courses Arrangement

(1) Intensive Chinese Training Course

Target: Students can master basic abilities of Chinese listening and speaking through short-term study, and step from “can't understand orally” to “can understand orally”, from “can't speak” to “can speak”.

Contents: Oral Chinese (mainly focuses on training students' basic abilities of listening and speaking)

Listening Skills (mainly focuses on training students' listening ability)

Reading (mainly focuses on training students' basic abilities of reading and writing)

Qualified Applicants: foreign employees who have never learned the Chinese Language before.

(2) Chinese Language Improving Course

Target: To improve students' abilities of Chinese listening and speaking, and to make students communicate smoothly with Chinese people.

Contents: Oral Chinese (mainly focuses on improving students' basic abilities of listening and speaking)

Listening Skills (mainly focuses on improving students' listening ability)

Reading (mainly focuses on improving students' basic abilities of reading and writing)

Qualified applicants: foreign employees with a basic knowledge of the Chinese language (a mastery of 500-800 vocabulary)

(3) Courses for Wives and Dependants of Foreign Expatriates

Target: To learn simple but useful Chinese conversations through a relaxed and pleasant way, and to have a general knowledge of Chinese culture.

Contents: Oral Chinese (mainly focuses on training or improving students' basic abilities of listening and speaking)

Listening Skills (mainly focuses on training or improving students' listening ability)

Reading (mainly focuses on training or improving students' basic abilities of reading and writing)

Qualified applicants: The families/dependants of foreign employees/expatriates in foreign enterprises who have never been in touch with or have just got in touch with Chinese language

(4)One-to-One Course

Target: To develop a carefully designed teaching schedule that will meet the student's requirements and help enhance their Chinese language level in a relatively short period of time.

Contents: Mainly focuses on listening and speaking

Qualified applicants : Foreign students (prior knowledge of Chinese language not required)

3. Study calendar

Commencement of teaching: Small classes will open once there are 5 students. There will be a maximum of 20 students per class.

One-to-One Course will open at any time, and the specific teaching time will be set according to student's requirements.

4. Tuition Standard

Small-Class Course: ¥ 30/hour for each student
